ORDINANCE TO SELL ALL DRUG-RELATED CONFISCATED MOTOR VEHICLES OR OTHER PROPERTY AT PUBLIC SALE AND THE PROCEEDS OF SAID SALE APPLIED TO THE DRUG ENFORCEMENT FUND

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That due to the need to finance the operation of the Drug Enforcement Program operated by the Jonesboro Police Department that hereafter all motor vehicles or other property confiscated pursuant to arrests for drug-related offenses shall be sold at public sale and the proceeds of said sale applied to the Drug Enforcement Fund.

Section 2: This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
