RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO CONVEY PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF HIGHWAY 63, SOUTH OF WASHINGTON AVENUE TO THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY & TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES (Washington Avenue Interchange) .

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Highway 7 Transportation Department will be constructing a fully controlled access on Highway 63 near the Washington Avenue intersection; AND
WHEREAS, the Cit of Jonesboro owns property (see description on the attached Agreements for Donation) that is needed to accomplish the fully controlled access and does desire to convey said property without compensation to the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department; AND
WHEREAS, the Public Works Committee of the City Council endorsed the Mayor's recommendation to convey said property without compensation on April 5, 2005;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached Agreement for Donation and all other appropriate documents to convey said property to the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department.
