RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PETER'S AND ASSOCIATES ENGINEERS, INC. TO PREPARE TRAFFIC SIGNAL PLANS TO INSTALL A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE CORNER OF WASHINGTON AND BRIDGE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received a contract form Peter's and Associates Engineers, Inc; and
WHEREAS, this agreement is for the purposes of preparing the traffic signal construction plans to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Bridge Street. Said contract is in an acceptable AutoCad format. Said contract is for a lump sum compensation of $7,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro believes said agreement is for the use and benefit of the City of Jonesboro and all its residents; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Jonesboro that the City Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute this agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:
1. This contract is for the purpose of constructing plans to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Bridge Street in an acceptable AutoCad format for a lump sum compensation of $7,000.00.
2. That this agreement is for the best interest of the residents of the City of Jonesboro.
3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said traffic signal construction plan agreement.
