RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF DUNWOODY HUNTCLIFF ESTATES AS REQUESTED BY MARK REES AND FRANK & NICKI MACON

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City Jonesboro, Arkansas requesting that
PART OF LOTS 1, 2 AND 14 OF BLOCK E OF DUNWOODY HUNTCLIFF ESTATES REVISED TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGIN AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 2 OF BLOCK E OF DUNWOODY HUNTCLIFF ESTATES REVISED TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS; THENCE SOUTH 66°57'30" EAST 185.79 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING PROPER; THENCE NORTH 22°00'00" EAST 7.50 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 66°57'30" EAST 52.43 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 14°58'03" WEST 15.15 FEET; THENCE NORTH 66°57'26" EAST 39.28 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 22°00'00" WEST 185.61 FEET; THENCE NORTH 68°00'00" WEST 15.00 FEET; THENCE NORTH 22°00'00" EAST 193.38 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING PROPER CONTAINING 0.0823 ACRES (3586.40 SQUARE FEET).
Be vacated and abandoned; and
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the unimproved portion of said street mentioned above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on February 21, 2000 at 6:10 p.m. o'clock in Municipal court chambers, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
