RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE RESOLUTION PASSED ON AUGUST 15, 1972, TO EXCLUDE THE YOUNG STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITION FROM HIGHLAND DRIVE TO CHILDREN’S COLONY PROPERTY

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

WHEREAS, the City Council in official action on August 15, 1972 adopted a resolution setting a policy for all purposes, when said right-of-ways to be acquired by purchase and not by donation by the landowner, and,

WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Council that said resolution be applicable only to future projects, and,

WHEREAS, the Council desires that said resolution not apply to the Young Street project from Highland Drive to the Children’s Colony, but only to future acquisitions not planned.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that the resolution passed August 15, 1972 be amended to exclude the Young Street right-of-way acquisition from Highland Drive to Children’s Colony property and that it apply to all other future right-of-way acquisitions.
