SPECIAL MEETING
The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission met on Thursday, January 21, 1971 for a special meeting in the court room of City Hall.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Scott, Lane, King, Griffin, Adams, and Young.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Falls and Spurlock.
OTHERS PRESENT: M.S. Malik and Dan Moore from Harland Bartholomew.
COUNCILMEN PRESENT: Dr. Bill Bowers, Athel Williams, and Gary Smith.
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Scott.
Items for business were as follows:
Item #1. Final report in first phase of Comprehensive Plan, joint meeting. Dan Moore presented the complete report on first phase, final version of all work of the past year with changes made between preliminary presentation.
In the February meeting will have draft copy of report.
In the March meeting will have preliminary zoning report.
In the April meeting will have final report on zoning and preliminary hearing, and public improvement.
In the May meeting will have final report and plats to present to City Council.
Item #2. Mr. Malik presented the goals and policies for the first part of Phase two.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
