A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, CRAIGHEAD COUNTY TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID MONIES FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL - HIGHWAY 49 AT KELLERS CHAPEL ROAD

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro understands Federal-Aid Surface Transportation funds are available for certain city projects at the following Federal and State participating ratios:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1. That the City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility in this project, which includes providing electrical service and maintenance of the traffic signal and associated control equipment.
Section 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this city project.
