AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE MONEY FROM THE UNALLOCATED PARKING METER FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS AND LABOR TO IMPROVE DOWNTOWN PARKING LOTS IN THE 2008 BUDGET

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1:  The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas hereby appropriates $350,000 dollars from unallocated parking meter monies, and

SECTION 2:  Said funds shall be placed in Parking Meter’s budget under the title of Street Contracts, account 04-100-0236-00.

SECTION 3:  This Ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro and the need to construct parking lots during good weather, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
