RESOLUTION REQUESTING MISSOURI PACIFIC TO INSTALL MECHANICAL LIGHTED WARNING DEVICE AT CROSSING AT MANILA STREET, JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the railroad crossing at Manila Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas, is not provided with adequate warning devices; and,
WHEREAS, it is believed that said crossing may constitute a potential hazard to the residents of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that Missouri Pacific Railroad Company to be requested to install a mechanical, lighted warning device at the railroad crossing at Manila Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas immediately in order to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of August, 1981.
