AN AUTHORIZING RESOLUTION FOR SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION AND THE EXPENDING OF FUNDS FOR AN ARKANSAS COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM GRANT

WHEREAS, City of Jonesboro is applying to the State of Arkansas for and Arkansas Community and Economic Development Grant; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain condition be met as part of the application requirements; and
WHEREAS, City of Jonesboro has conducted two public hearings as part of the application process to receive and consider comments on community development and housing needs; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the public hearings, City of Jonesboro has identified and prioritized the community development and housing needs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Jonesboro is authorized to submit an infrastructure application to the State of Arkansas, on behalf of the City of Jonesboro and to expend funds to construct an infrastructure project in City of Jonesboro if the grant is awarded.
