AN ORDINANCE PERMITTING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF CARSON STREET FROM MONROE AVENUE NORTH TO CREATH AVENUE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: From and after the passage and adoption of this Ordinance, parking shall be permitted on the East side of Carson Street from Monroe Avenue North to Creath Avenue.
Section 2: The Chief of Police or some person designated by him is hereby directed to remove all “no parking” signs which may be located on said portion of Carson Street.
Section 3: All Ordinances and laws or parts of Ordinances and laws in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: It is found and declared by the City Council that this Ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
