AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NUMBER 2131 AND TITLE 11, SECTION 11.28.01, AND ORDINANCE NUMBER 2145 AND TITLE 11, SECTION 11.04.03 OF THE JONESBORO CODE OF ORDINANCES, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADOPTING THE 1992 ARKANSAS FIRE PREVENTION CODE, VOLUMES I AND II, INCLUDING ANY AND ALL FUTURE AMENDMENTS AND/OR EDITIONS WHICH MAY FOLLOW HEREAFTER.

WHEREAS, the purpose of this ordinance is to amend ordinance number 2131, Title 11, Section 11.28.01 and ordinance number 2145, Title 11, Section 11.04.03 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances to adopt the 1992 Arkansas Fire Prevention Code Volumes I & II, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended by the Jonesboro City Council.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that;
SECTION ONE: Ordinance 2131, Section 1, and Chapter 11.28 known as "Fire Prevention Code" Section 11.28.01 of the Jonesboro Code of Ordinances shall be amended as follows:
(A) In Ordinance 2131, Section 1,” . . . being particularly the 1992 Edition of the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code, Volumes I & II, "including any and all future Editions."
(B) In Chapter 11.28, Section 11.28.01, “. . . being particularly the 1992 Edition of the Arkansas Fire Prevention Code, Volumes I & II, "including any and all future Editions."
(C) To delete Section 11.04.03 in its entirety.
SECTION TWO: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its' passage and approval.
