AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE PERPETUAL CARE 2006 INTEREST EARNINGS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The sum of $10,000 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance of the Perpetual Care Fund for additional 2006 interest earnings, such earnings to be made available for expenditure by the Parks and Recreation Department for cemetery operations and maintenance. Such amount shall be added to the existing 2006 budget appropriation for Account Number 17-100-0314-00.
SECTION 2: It is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance, being necessary to provide for cemetery operations and maintenance, shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
