April 19, 2005

The meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m. by Alderman McCall. Members present were: Tim McCall, Chris Moore, Alec Farmer, and Cecil Province. Others in attendance were City Clerk Donna Jackson and Press.
Chair McCall called the meeting to order.
MINUTES
Councilman Farmer moved, seconded by Councilman Moore for the adoption of minutes from January 7, 2005 and March 15, 2005. All voted aye.
RESOLUTIONS
Annual bids Street Department: Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to recommend the placement of a resolution on the agenda approving the following annual bids:
2005:20 - Ready Mix Concrete - Low Bidder being Hedger Brothers
2005:22 - Sand & Pit Gravel - Low Bidder being Razor Rock
2005:23 - Crushed Stone - Split Bid between Vulcan and Martin Marietta
2005:24 - Concrete Blocks - Low Bidder being Hedger Brothers
2005:26 - Asphalt - Low Bidder being Atlas Asphalt
2005:27 - Concrete/Metal Pipe/Flood Gates - Split Bid between Contech, Hansen Pipe & Scurlock.
2005:28 - Guardrails - Low Bidder being Southern Guardrails
2005:30 - Glass Beads - Low Bidder being Potter’s Industries
2005:31 - Crack Filler - Low Bidder being Southern Star Materials
All voted aye.
Mayor’s 2020 Taskforce: It was announced this resolution would be pulled from consideration.

With no further business, Councilman Moore moved, seconded by Councilman Farmer to adjourn. All voted aye.
