AN ORDINANCE TO CHARGE $100.00 PER SPACE FOR ALL CITY OWNED OR CONTROLLED CEMETERY LOTS AND WHICH FURTHER PROVIDES, THAT ALL PERMITS ISSUED FOR OPENING GRAVES WILL COST $60.00 ON WEEKDAYS AND $75.00 ON SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
Section 1: That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is amended by adding Sections to be numbered Section 6-9 and 6-10, which sections shall read as follows:
A. Section 6-9 shall read as follows: All City owned and controlled Cemetery Lots shall cost $100.00 per space.
B. Section 6-10 shall read as follows: All permits issued for the opening of graves shall costs as follows: On weekdays the fee charged shall be $60.00 and on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays the fee shall be $75.00.
Section 2: All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: It is found and declared by the City Council that this Ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
