A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS NOTIFYING THE INSURANCE SERVICES OFFICE OF IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE SO AS TO REGAIN THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS CLASS 3 FIRE RATING

WHEREAS, the Insurance Service Office review of the fire insurance classification for the City of Jonesboro found that a regression to class 4 is now appropriate; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Committee and the Finance Committee have reviewed the proposed plan of improvements to the Jonesboro Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Insurance Service Office requires that improvements are to be implemented or well underway within one year to regain the current insurance classification of Class 3; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate amount of appropriations for said plan will be adopted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE City Of Jonesboro, Arkansas thaT:
Section 1: The plan to regain the Class 3 classification has been approved.
Section 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized to notify the Insurance Services Office of the plans for improvements to the Fire Department so as to regain the Class 3.
