RESOLUTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON BELMONT AVENUE BETWEEN THE WEST LINE OF MADISON STREET AND THE WEST END OF BELMONT AVENUE

BODY

WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk a petition signed by Ruth Janice Lyle and Roland Hughes asking that Belmont Avenue between its border with the west line of Madison Street and the west end of said Belmont Avenue which deadends 161 feet to the west against Lot 13 in Block 8 of Ridgecrest Addition to the City of Jonesboro be vacated.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a hearing on said petition by the City Council will be held on the 10^th day of July, 1967, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of said hearing to be held of said meeting of said City Council by publication once a week for 2 consecutive weeks in the Jonesboro Sun, a newspaper having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro. Said notice to be published shall give the name of the persons who signed the petition and the name of the street or portion thereof south to be vacated and its location with references to abutting lots or property. Said notice shall advise all persons that said petition will be heard and acted upon by the City Council at its meeting to be held on the 10^th day of July, 1967.
