AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES.

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That Ordinance No 954 known as the zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the change in zoning district boundaries as follows:
From Residential (R-1) to Commercial (C-3) of property described as follows: (W Side of Stadium Blvd., N of Higginbotham Creek - Benn Flynn)
A part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas to wit: From the Northwest corner of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter said Section 33, run North 88° 58' 54" East 1242.29 feet to the West right-of-way line of Arkansas Highway No.1; then run South 00° 23.19" West along said West right-of-way line 848.1 feet to the point of beginning; then continue South 00° 23'19" West along said right-of-way line 219.1 feet to the North Bank of Higginbottom Creek; then along and North of said North bank as follows: North 69° 08' 35" West 84.3 feet, North 63°47' West 140.4 feet, North 48°37' 40" west 140.4 feet, North 11° 30' West 29.2 feet; then run North 88° 58' 54" East 317.5 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.0 acre.
SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning and that, therefore, and emergency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
