A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO AN AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS ACTING FOR AND ON BEHALF OF UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS, FAYETTEVILLE (UARK) FOR THE TURTLE CREEK WETLAND PARTNERSHIP AND AMEND THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET

WHEREAS the City of Jonesboro desires to enter into an affiliation agreement with the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees for the Turtle Creek Wetland Partnership to explore the expansion of the permanent wetlands to improve function and create an outdoor learning experience for area youth; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has agreed to provide the services, as described in the attached affiliation agreement, for the Turtle Creek Wetland Partnership;
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro desires to amend the Capital Improvement budget by $50,000 is to fund this planning project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:
Section 1: That the City of Jonesboro shall enter into an affiliation agreement with the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees to provided services, as described in the attached affiliation agreement, for the Turtle Creek Wetland Partnership.
Section 2: The Capital Improvement budget is hereby amended to allocate $50,000 to fund this project.
Section 3: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this affiliation agreement.
