A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO MATCH FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM MONIES FOR THE PAVEMENT MARKING (SELECTED SECTIONS)

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro understands additional Federal-air Urban System Funds are available for improvements to the City streets; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority project is Thermoplastic Pavement Markings on Selected Sections of the Urban Systems Streets; and
WHEREAS, the City understands that their matching portion of this project will be 25% if the total cost.
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Jonesboro will participate in accordance with its designation responsibility in this project.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the improvements on city streets.
SECTION 3. The City of Jonesboro pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this project.
