A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT FOR SEWER IMPROVEMENTS FROM CRITTCO CONSTRUCTION UNDER THE CDBG PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro advertised and received bids for the construction of Sewer Improvements off Greensboro Road on January 25, 2005 for the CDBG Program; and
WHEREAS, the low bid of $54,881.86 was submitted by Crittco Construction, which was checked by Miller - Newell Engineers Inc.; and
WHEREAS, bids are within our CDBG budget amount, of which one hundred percent of the funds for the project will come from the Community Development Block Grant Budget, fund line item 831-43, previously approved by the City Council and the Department of Housing & Urban Development.
WHEREAS, the Finance and Grants Committee recommended on January 27, 2005, approval of awarding a contract to the low bidder for a contract of $54,881.86.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the low bid of $54,881.86 from Crittco Construction for construction of sewer improvements off Greensboro Rd.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
