AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND NO.954 KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN ZONING BOUNDARIES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

SECTION 1: That Ordinance No.954, known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by a change in the zoning classification as follows: (Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 R-2 to C-2, Central Baptist Church (Greg Moody)

(A.)From Residential R-2 to Commercial C-2 of the following described property:

 Lot 4 of Beloate’s Addition, Jonesboro, Arkansas

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the proper use of the tract of land described in this Ordinance is delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, it shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
