A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT CONVEYANCE OF CITY WATER AND LIGHT PARK AND CULBERHOUSE PARK FROM THE CITY WATER AND LIGHT PLANT OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, City Water and Light Plant of Jonesboro was the owner of Lots 1 and 2 Block 8 of Culberhouse's Third Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, previously conveyed to the City of Jonesboro, being more particularly described as follows:
Begin at the northeast corner of Lot 1 block 8 Culberhouse's Third Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence S01°10'57"W - 209.59'; thence N89°58'11"W - 235.77'; thence S89°27'10"W - 259.91'; thence N00°19'12"W - 210.00'; thence N89°46'57"E - 501.17' to the point of beginning containing 2.39 acres more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record.
Tract 1: Begin at the northeast corner of lot 1 block 8 Culberhouse's Third Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thence S 01°10'57"W - 209.59'; thence N89°58'11"W - 100.00'; thence N01°10'57"E - 209.15'; thence N89°46'57"E - 100.00' to the point of beginning containing 0.48 acres more or less subject to all rights of way and easements of record.
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro currently maintains the property and playground equipment at City Water and Light and Culberhouse Park.
WHEREAS, the City would like to accept conveyance of City, Water and Light Park and Culberhouse Park for further development of its park system.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I: That the City of Jonesboro shall accept conveyance Lots 1 and 2 Block 8 of Culberhouse's Addition to the City of Jonesboro known as City Water and Light Park and Culberhouse Park.
