AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1019 FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:

Section 1: That Section 1 of Ordinance No.1019 is hereby amended to read as follows:

That from and after January 1, 1965, the salary of the City Clerk is hereby fixed at the sum of $1,400.00 per year.

Section 2: It is found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the burden of work and duties of the City have greatly increased therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, it being in the interest of the public peace, health and safety, this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and adoption.

PASSED and ADOPTED this 1^st day of February, 1965.
