Craighead County Solid Waste Disposal Authority (CCSWDA) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the City concerning CCSWDA transporting the Class 1 waste stream from the Strawfloor Landfill Transfer Station to CCSWDA's landfill and was signed on April 5, 2005. The Memorandum of Understanding shall remain in effect until February 1, 2016. The resolution number is Resolution 2005:30 and was approved by Council on April 5, 2005.
They also entered into a Agreement for Capital Contribution, Improvements and Debt Incurrence with the City. The payment amount is for $5 million. The resolution number is Resolution 2005:30 and was approved by Council on April 5, 2005.
A Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in July of 2007. The changes are detailed in the amendment. The resolution number is 2007:07 and was approved by the City Council on January 16, 2007.
