A RESOLUTION TO CONTRACT WITH JETTON'S ELECTRIC INC. TO CONSTRUCT A NEW BATH HOUSE AT CRAIGHEAD FOREST PARK CAMPGROUND

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has received a Parks and Tourism Outdoor Recreation Grant to construct a new bath house at Craighead Forest Park Campground; and

WHEREAS, the project was formally bid; and

WHEREAS, Jetton's Electric Inc was the low bidder meeting specifications with a bid of $254,598.00; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has negotiated with the bidder to reduce the price within our budget of $245,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the contract price on the bath house shall be for $244,912.00

WHEREAS, money for the project shall come from the Outdoor Recreation Grants line item 09-100-0632-00 in the 2008 Budget;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall contract with Jetton's Electric Inc. to construct a Bath House at Craighead Forest Park for $244,912.00.  A copy of said contract is attached as "Exhibit A."

Section 2:  The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
