RESOLUTION SETTING A HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF MIDDLEFIELD DRIVE NORTH OF APACHE AVENUE AND ALL OF WHITEMAN AVENUE AND SPURLOCK DRIVE

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO:
 
That the 1st day of April, 1974, is hereby fixed as the day for the hearing upon the petition of Maybrine and Geraldine Spurlock praying for the abandonment and vacating of the following described streets or parts of streets located within the plat of Spurlock 2nd Addition to Jonesboro as filed for record in book 129, Page 76, in Recorders Office in Jonesboro:
 
Begin at Middlefield Drive north right of way line of Apache Avenue extended across Middlefield Drive, all of Middlefield Drive north of such north right of way line of Apache Avenue, all of Whiteman Avenue and all of Spurlock Drive in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
 
The City Clerk hereby is directed to give notice of the time and place of said hearing by publishing once a week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Craighead County and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro. The notice shall state the name of the property owners who signed said petition, the name of the streets and parts of street thereof to be vacated and shall identify same by abutting lot and the block numbers and the notice shall advise all persons that on the 1st day of April, 1974, the Council will hear and determine whether the above described streets and parts of streets shall vacate.
 
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1974.
