BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the utility easement designated as follows with the exceptions listed in Section 2:

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

An alley 120 feet in length and 14.2 feet in width lying south of Lot 30 and north of Lot 31 and further lying west of Lot 16 in Block D of Dudley’s Subdivision of part of Blocks B, C, D, E, F and G of Dudley’s Fist Addition to the town of Nettleton, Arkansas as shown by plat recorded in Plat Book 123 at Page 150 in the office of the Circuit Clerk for the Western District of Craighead County in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the same being more particularly described as follows:

From the southwest corner of said Lot 30, the Point of Beginning, thence east 120 feet along the south line of said Lot 30 to the southeast corner of thereof, thence south 14.2 feet along the west line of said Lot 16 to the northeast corner of said Lot 31, thence west 120 feet along the north line of said Lot 31 to the northwest corner thereof, thence north along the east right of way of Fred Street to the southwest corner of said Lot 30, the Point of Beginning.

SECTION 2: A copy of the ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas, and shall be filed in the Deed Records of such office.

SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, finds and declares that the above utility easement is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above alley are in favor of the closure and vacation ...
