RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE ABANDONMENT OF AN UNDEVELOPED RIGHT-OF-WAY IN SOUTH OAKS ADDITION PHASE II AS REQUESTED BY DR. JACK JONES

WHEREAS, Jack Jones, DVM, has filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that the City abandon and vacate an undeveloped street right-of-way in:
SOUTH OAKS ADDITION PHASE II, BEING PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 14 NORTH, RANGE 3 EAST, JONESBORO, AR, AS RECORDED IN PLAT CABINET "B", AT PAGE 92, RECORDED JUNE 26, 1989.
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas law requires notice of such public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice advising the public of such request to vacate and abandon the above mentioned right-of-way and that this matter will be heard before the City Council on August 20, 2013, at 5:20 p.m. o'clock p.m. at the Municipal Center, 300 S. Church, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
