A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JONESBORO TO PARTICIPATE IN AN ARKANSAS HIGHWAY TRANSPORTATION GRANT FOR MAIN STREET ENHANCEMENT; AND

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Highway Transportation Department has grant funds available for enhancement of Main Street within the city limits of the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Mayor and the City Council that the City of Jonesboro participate in and receive grant funds, including payment of l% of the low bid as the AHTD administration fee; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

1.  That the Mayor and City Clerk, be and are hereby authorized to execute appropriate documents as are necessary to participate in the Arkansas Highway Transportation Grant program for the enhancement of the Main Street within the city limits of the City of Jonesboro, including the payment of 1% as AHTD administration fee.
