AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2007 BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO

Body

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas that:

SECTION ONE: Budget Ordinance Number 05-2007 is amended to provide for a four percent (4%) increase in the salaries for elected officials and department heads. The increase in salaries will be retroactive to January 1, 2007.

SECTION TWO: This ordinance being necessary for the financial continuity of the City of Jonesboro, there is hereby declared to be an emergency and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
