AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2007 ANNUAL BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO STREET DEPARTMENT BY UPGRADING ONE FULL-TIME POSITION.

Body

WHEREAS, The City of Jonesboro Street Department wishes to convert one full-time Street Helper position (non-exempt pay grade 6) to one full-time Administrative Technician (non-exempt pay grade 8).

WHEREAS, the conversion of this full-time position is recommended by the Public Works Committee and the Finance Committee;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS, that:

SECTION 1: The 2007 annual budget  for the City of Jonesboro, adopted as Ordinance 05-2007 on January 2, 2007 is amended to convert one full-time Street Helper position (non-exempt pay grade 6) to one full-time Administrative Technician position (non-exempt pay grade 8).

SECTION 2: It is anticipated that the 2007 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro Street Department, Full-Time Salaries line item 02-100-0201-00 will have a surplus of funds.

Therefore, no transfer of funds will be needed for this position upgrade.

SECTION 3:  For the financial and operation continuity of the City of Jonesboro it is hereby found and declared that an emergence exists and that this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
