A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS TO PARTICIPATE UNDER THE 2000 LLEBG PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro has applied for funding through the United States Department of Justice, 2000 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program, (LLEBG) for working with Police Programs in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is willing to provide the required 10% matching fund for the programs, and to properly administer the programs, and
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is notifying the public and City Officials that we are applying for the funds and what the funds will be used for.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF JONESBORO, THAT:
1. The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is desirous of applying for a grant for equipment of $40,290.00 for the 2000 program.
2. The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas is committing a cash match of $4,477.00 for the 2000 program.
3. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all agreements for the implementation of this program.
