BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

From Commercial Three (C-3) to Industrial One (I-1) the following described property.

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 14, North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas to wit: from the Northwest Corner of said Southwest Quarter, run South 01º34' West 329.2 feet; then run South 89º 16' East 311.3 feet; then run South 00º 43' 11" West 357.60 feet; then run South 37º 19' East along Right-Of-Way Line of Highway 63-Bypass Service Road 54.6 feet; then run North 89º 48' East 220.0 feet; then run South 00º36' West 130.0 feet to the centerline of ditch and the point of beginning; then run along said centerline ditch as follows: North 35º 36' East 87.3 feet; North 72º44' East 201.6 feet; North 66º44'00" East 75.80 feet; then leaving said ditch centerline, run South 00º36'00" West 285.69 feet to the North Right-Of-Way Line of Highway 63 Bypass Service Road; then run South 89º48' West along said Service Road Right-Of-Way Line, 311.3 feet, then leaving said Right-Of-Way Line, run North 00º36' East 126.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.61 acres.

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
