A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS ACCEPTING BID FOR PHONE SYSTEM FROM RITTER COMMUNICATIONS

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is in need of a new unified voice communication system,
WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro released a Request for Proposal (RFP) and opened the proposals on October 27, 2005,
WHEREAS, Ritter Communications was selected as the best value bidder and can provide the necessary equipment and services for $225,781.72, plus $1,160.00 per month for four DS-1 circuits, plus $1220.00 per month for two PRI circuits, plus applicable taxes,
WHEREAS, the funds for the project will come from the Information Systems fixed assets and dedicated circuits line items in the 2006 budget,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jonesboro accepts the bid of $225,781.72 plus $2,380.00 per month from Ritter Communications.
SECTION 2: That the Mayor, Douglas Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
