AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2007 ANNUAL BUDGET AND THE CITY PAY PLAN FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO FOR THE POSITION OF CIVIL ENGINEER

Body

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 05-2007 adopted the 2007 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro; and

WHEREAS, Resolution Number 2004:02 adopted the City Pay Plan, and

WHEREAS, it is recommended by the Public Works Committee to ensure sufficient staffing in the Engineering Department:

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1:  The annual 2007 budget of the City of Jonesboro is amended for the position of Civil Engineer from Grade 21, Step 1, $44,340.14 to Grade 21, Step 3, $46,584.87.

SECTION 2:  There are sufficient funds in the budget and no additional money will need to be appropriated.

SECTION 3:  This Ordinance being necessary to provide more effective and efficient service to the City of Jonesboro, an emergency is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
