A RESOLUTION TO PERMIT JONESBORO PARKS AND RECREATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH KAIT

Body

WHEREAS, The Jonesboro Parks and Recreation Department has administered many running races which have promoted health and wellness in the City of Jonesboro;

WHEREAS, Jonesboro Parks and Recreation and KAIT have partnered in promoting and administering the K88K in Craighead Forest Park;

WHEREAS, Jonesboro Parks and Recreation and KAIT seek to formalize its arrangement with a Memorandum of Understanding (Exhibit A);

WHEREAS, Jonesboro Parks and Recreation shall perform Race Administration for the K88K and in exchange shall receive $12,000 of advertising;  

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: That the City of Jonesboro Parks and Recreation shall enter into an agreement with KAIT to administer the 2008 K88K in exchange for $12,000 worth of advertising on KAIT.

Section 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate this agreement.
