AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1485 BY ADDING THE ZONING DESIGNATION TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF CERTAIN LANDS ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1485 accepting the Annexation of Briarwood Fifth Addition to the City of Jonesboro excluded the zoning designation for said property, and
WHEREAS, that the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds that said lands should be zoned R-2.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the City Council of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that Ordinance No. 1485 to be amended to include the following Sections:
Section 5: The lands and territory annexed to the City of Jonesboro by Ordinance No. 1485 designated as Briarwood Fifth Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, are zoned R-2.
Section 6: It is hereby found and declared by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro that said lands having been annexed, the same need to be immediately zoned for the purpose of proper city planning and that therefore an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety.
