AN ORDINANCE TO CONTRACT WITH E.C. BARTON AND CO. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A DECORATIVE ENTRANCE AT CITY CEMETERY

Body

WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains City Cemetery and is encouraging collaboration in facility development; and

WHEREAS, E.C. Barton and Co. and the City desire to enter this agreement for the purpose of constructing a decorative entrance at City Cemetery; and

WHEREAS, E.C. Barton and Co. has agreed to provide the full cost of construction for the decorative arch in the amount of $12,731.50 to be paid in full by May 1, 2011; and

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro shall appropriate $12,731.50 from the capitol improvement fund (Account Number 07-100-755-00) to construct the decorative entrance.

LET IT BE ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro shall appropriate $12,731.50 from the capitol improvement fund (Account Number 07-100-755-00) to construct the decorative entrance.

SECTION 2: The Mayor, Harold Perrin and the City Clerk, Donna Jackson are hereby authorized by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the agreement.
