RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN RIDGE RUN PHASE II AS REQUESTED BY DANNY & KAREN WALLIS AND RANDY & DENISE SIMPKINS

WHEREAS, the property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that a portion of drainage easement described as follows:
The westerly 15' of the easterly 25' of Lot 30, the easterly 15' of the westerly 25' of Lot 31, the westerly 15' of the easterly 25' of Lot 35, and the easterly 15' of the westerly 25' of Lot 36 all of Ridge Run Phase II.
be vacated and abandoned AND
WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; AND
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two week public notice before the above easement can be vacated and abandoned;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the drainage easement described above and this matter will be heard before the City Council on February 2, 1998 at 6:15 p.m. at 410 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
