A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING WITH NETTLETON PUBLC SCHOOLS REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TURTLE CREEK GREENWAY SPUR

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro is seeking to improve and develop area around Turtle Creek with the Turtle Creek Greenway

WHEREAS, a spur of the Greenway is needed to connect the Greenway with Nettleton Intermediate Center and Nettleton Public Schools

WHEREAS, construction and maintenance of the spur shall be based upon an Agreement of Understanding between the City of Jonesboro and Nettleton Public Schools (see Exhibit A)

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO, ARKANSAS THAT:

Section 1: The City of Jonesboro shall enter into and agreement of understanding with the Nettleton Public Schools to construct and maintain a spur of the Turtle Creek Greenway.

Section 2: The Mayor, Doug Formon and City Clerk Donna Jackson are authorize to effectuate this agreement.
