BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
 
WHEREAS, A petition has been filed by Bewey L. Grigsby and Evelyn S. Grigsby praying that a portion of Stone Street in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be abandoned as follows:
 
The South 610 feet of Stone Street lying adjacent to the East side of Lots 2 and 4 in Block "N" and lying adjacent to the West side of Lots 1 and 3 in block "M" Sigler's College Addition and lying adjacent to the South side of King, Avenue and lying adjacent to the North side of Highland Drive (Arkansas State Highway No.18).
 
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, is hereby directed to fix a date for the hearing of said petition, giving notice of such meeting by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in Craighead County, Arkansas, said notice to state the names of the persons signing said petition and the portion of Stone Street to be abandoned, and that said petition shall be heard at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, held in its usual meeting place on April 16, 1973 at 7:30 o'clock p.m. At said time the City Council will determine whether said property should be abandoned as a street as above described, and whether the abutting property owners, if any and other persons directly interested have consented to such abandonment.
