City of Jonesboro purchased the property from Carl Bajohr Company. Quitclaim deed dated November 10, 1977. The deed specified the property will be owned by the City, but Carl Bajohr Co. still retains its rights as lessee under existing agreements.
On July 10, 1992, a letter from Carl Bajohr Company's attorney was written indicating the company had paid all bonds and would like to purchase the property. Ordinance 2416 authorized conveyance of the property to Carl Bajohr Company, but there is no deed on file showing the conveyance.
