AN ORDINANCE TO VACATE AND ABANDON THE EAST ONE-HALF OF THE ALLEY CONNECTING KITCHEN AND HALTOM STREETS

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that:
SECTION 1: The City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
The East One-Half of the alley connecting Kitchen and Haltom Streets and running between Lots 3 and 4 and Lot 5 Block 1 Haltom's Addition
SECTION 2: A copy of the Ordinance certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the recorder of Craighead County, Arkansas and shall be filed in the deed records of such office.
SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas finds and declares that the above alley is not necessary for the general benefit and welfare of the public; that the owners of all the property abutting the above alley are in favor of the closure and vacation of the above alley and that therefore an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
