RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON AN UNIMPROVED STREET RIGHT OF WAY FOR CHARLOTTE LANE, MILDRED DRIVE AND MARGO LANE AS REQUESTED BY RTK, INC. AND BOBBY & TERESA UPTON

WHEREAS, all adjoining property owners have filed a Petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting the abandonment of the following:
The unimproved street rights-of-way for Charlotte Lane; the unimproved street rights-of-way for Mildred Drive extending from a point immediately East of the right-of-way of Margo Lane to the intersection of Mildred Drive with Charlotte Lane; and the unimproved street rights-of-way for Margo Lane, extending from a point immediately South of its intersection with Mildred Drive to the southerly end of Margo Lane, all of said streets being a part of Lazy Acres as reflected by the plat of Lazy Acres, Craighead County, Arkansas, recorded in Deed Record 123 at page 109 of the records of the Circuit Clerk of Craighead County, Arkansas, at Jonesboro, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the Petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated 14-301-110 requires two weeks public notice before the above easements can be vacated and abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owners to vacate and abandon the unimproved streets rights-of-way for the aforesaid Charlotte Lane and portions of Mildred Drive and Margo Lane, and this matter will be heard before the City Council on November 16, 1998 at 6:00 o'clock p.m., in the Municipal Court Chambers, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
