BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas:    

 

SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 954 known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, be amended as recommended by the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission by the changes in zoning classifications as follows:

 

From Residential (R-1) To Commercial (C-3) the following described property.

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION

Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Begin at the Southeast Corner of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, Township 14 North, Range 4 East, Craighead County, Arkansas; thence West along the South Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, aforesaid, 491.64 feet; thence North 0º02'58" East 179.92 feet; thence West 46.47 feet; thence North 0º55'47" East 1040.61 feet to the South Right-Of-Way Line of Parker Road; thence along said Right-Of-Way Line as follows:  North 70º29'50" East 85.18 feet, North 89º49'51" East 458.82 feet to the East Line of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 33, aforesaid; thence South 0º49'45" West along said East Line 1250.32 feet to the point of beginning proper, containing 15.26 acres.

 

SECTION 2: It is found and declared by the City Council that the proper use of the tract (tracts) of land described above in this Ordinance is being delayed because of improper zoning, and that therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance, being necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health and safety, shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and approval.

 

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of December, 1993.
