PETITION TO VACATE AND CLOSE A PORTION OF HACIENDA STREET SOUTH OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH RUSSELL HILL DRIVE IN JONESBORO, ARKANSAS

WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the City Clerk for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, on the 28^th day of April, 2005, requesting that the Jonesboro City Council vacate and abandon the following street:  

That part of Hacienda Street lying South of its intersection with Byars' Drive (now, Russell Hill Drive) as depicted on plat of survey, "Byars' Ranchettes Subdivision" dated December 4, 1969 and recorded in Book B Page 46 on August 3, 1987 in the records of Craighead County, Arkansas.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that

SECTION 1: The hearing on said petition of VAB Enterprises, Inc. shall be held at 6:15 p.m. on May 17, 2005, at 900 West Monroe Street, Jonesboro, Arkansas.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks in the Jonesboro Sun, a newspaper published and having a general circulation in the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
