RESOLUTION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING TO ABANDON BROKEN HILL ROAD AND QUEENSLAND ROAD AS REQUESTED BY JACK POLING

WHEREAS, the property owner has filed a petition with the City Clerk of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, requesting that dedicated streets known as Broken Hill Road and Queensland road located in the Outback 2^nd Addition to the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, should be  vacated, abandoned and legally closed;

WHEREAS, the petition has been presented to the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas;

WHEREAS, A.C.A. 14-301-302 requires two week public notice before the above described streets can be vacated, abandoned and legally closed; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jonesboro, Arkansas, that the City Clerk is directed to publish a notice once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks advising the public of the request by the property owner to vacate, abandon and close the above described streets and this matter will be heard before the City Council on July 20, 1998 at 6:15 p.m. at 410 West Washington Avenue, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
