RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH BENERGY OUTSOURCING, INC. TO ADMINISTER THE EMPLOYEE CAFETERIA PLAN AND PREPARE ANNUAL REAL VALUE STATEMENTS FOR EACH PARTICIPATING EMLOYEE

WHEREAS, the City of Jonesboro currently provides a cafeteria plan for its participating employees, and

WHEREAS, the City desires to improve said plans operation and provide for an annual statement of real value for each employee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO.

1.      That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Benergy Outsourcing Strategies, Inc. to provide said services.

2.      Said contract shall be for the amount of $5.00 per employee participating plus $400.00 per month.  Further a starting fee of $600.00 shall be paid.  In addition, the fee for the annual statement shall be $1,650.00 based on 455 participants.  Said contract shall be for one year starting January 1, 2007.
