AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE 2005 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF JONESBORO

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 3506 adopted a 2005 annual budget for the City of Jonesboro; and

 

WHEREAS, there is a need to amend the 2005 annual budget for various purposes

 

THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Jonesboro City Council that

 

SECTION 1: The 2005 annual budget is amended by the deletion of the position of Mechanic II in the Sanitation Administration Department and by the addition of the position of Maintenance Shop Crew Leader in the Sanitation Administration Department.

 

SECTION 2: The sum of $3,289.86 is appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the Sanitation Fund for the increased cost of the Maintenance Shop Crew Leader position, to be allocated to the following Sanitation Administration Department 2005 line item accounts:

 

03-100-201-00                                          $3,009.77

03-100-202-00                                                 46.30

03-100-206-00                                               189.48

03-100-284-00                                                 44.31

 

SECTION 3: The hiring freeze until July 1, 2005 for the following budgeted 2005 positions is hereby repealed:

 

Administrative Secretary - Human Resources Department

Office Manager - City Clerk Department

Back-up Driver - Sanitation Residential Department

 

SECTION 4: For the financial and operational continuity of the City of Jonesboro it is hereby found and declared that an emergency exists and that this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
